Personality disorders often make treatment compliance difficult in individuals with eating disorders. Appropriate treatment of dual diagnosis, personality and eating disorders, is crucial in effective eating disorder treatment. This course will focus on how personality affects the development, maintenance and treatment trajectory for clients with Eating Disorders.
Emma Mcmanus, PsyD,
is in private practice in Sacramento, Sierra Treatment Center of Sacramento. She specializes in both eating disorder and addiction. Dr. McManus is highly involved in the community as a community partner with other facilities and universities. She often speaks as an expert on eating disorders and addiction at various universities and community programs. She is a University of California Davis committee member and Community Partner for the university's Association for Body Image Disordered Eating (ABIDE) committee.
